MP Visit

The first week back after the half term break was UK Parliament Week.  This is an annual event, spreading the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how we can take action and make an impact on the issues we care about.

Our own Pupil Parliament were lucky enough to have a visit from the MP for Worcester, the Rt Hon Robin Walker.  Mr Walker spent time with the students explaining about the role of an MP, his early career and some of the things that he is campaigning for, including Education.  It was a wonderful opportunity for Mr Walker to meet our students, look around our school and for our pupils to learn about Parliament and have the chance to ask questions that are important to them.

The students were a credit to Riversides, with some wonderful questions being put forward.  A lovely end to the first week back!
