Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Visit
Year 8 are having fortnightly visits from local police community support officers (PCSO). These visits are a fantastic way for the pupils to ask all types of questions about their careers and experiences within the police force. Each visit covers a wide range of topics such a knife crime, online safety, fraud, traffic incidents, types of abuse and much more.
The officers leading the visit are very informative on their experiences within the police force and they have in depth discussions on their emotions and professionalism. They have also highlighted how their quick decision making has impacted the local community and provided a great service over the years. The staff and pupils of year 8 are very engaged with these sessions and are always learning something new and interesting.
