Year 8 Visit the Food Bank
Linked to our RE theme of “Why is Jesus radical?” and exploring some of Jesus’s teachings, especially “Love your neighbour”, year 8 visited the Foodbank to see how Christians might put their faith into action.
We learned that people can receive food and help and advice and support in times of need.
We learned that people can donate money and food to the foodbank to help other people, and can volunteer to prepare food packs for people to collect.
We took along some donations of food.
We thought this was a very good provision for people in need and we were impressed by the organisation.
