Kidderminster College Visit (Year 8)
As part of our careers focus year 8 embraced a visit Kidderminster College.
The aim of the visit was for pupils to experience a variety of different college careers, courses and opportunities. It also gave them the opportunity to experience a glimpse of Post 16 and what the world of work could be like for them.
We visited two of their main sites and this consisted of a variety of career pathways such as construction, gaming, carpentry, music, drama, health and social care, mechanical engineering, paint spraying, video design, filming, dance and much more.
The impact of this visit majorly boosted their confidence within a social environment and this was a great opportunity for them to understand what education post 16 could be like for them and how the college environment differs from school.
