Year 8 Bring Poetry to Life Through “The Crossover”
Students in year 8 have enjoyed studying ‘The Crossover’ by Kwame Alexander – a story created through poems. Students engaged in rhyming activities, explored metaphors and wrote their own poems and ‘rules for life’. They also wrote their own sports commentary’s as part of our independent writing lessons and we squeezed in practicing our own basketball shots too!
