An introduction to Dennis the Menace!
Our summer arts week introduced the students to some of the staffs’ favourite characters from the Beano as part of our comic and cartoon theme!
The Beano generously sent a copy of the comic for every student along with some glow in the dark stickers!
Activities throughout the week included designing comic strips and new characters for the Beano, making cartoon characters out of clay and plasticine and practicing sketching skills.
Linking to arts week, primary used this as a cross-curricular opportunity to link with their half termly reading challenge!
To end the week, the students had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite comic and cartoon character and Fitness Friday saw an attack on Bananaman!
