Diwali Diyas
As part of art, we have learnt about Diwali, the Hindu festival of light.
To celebrate Diwali, small clay pots containing lights, called diyas, are lit to symbolise goodness and purity.
In year 7 and 8 the students had a go at using clay to create their own clay pot diya and then used acrylic paints and gems to decorate them, before completeing them with a battery candle.
