Primary Reading Challenge

This half term, our reading challenge was all about exploring future careers, inspired by the book Zog and the Flying Doctors by Julia Donaldson.

The story helped us think about different jobs and how we can help others, just like the characters in the book. As part of the challenge, we were thrilled to welcome a paramedic to our school, who shared their experiences and talked about what it’s like to work in emergency services. We also had a fantastic dress-up day, where pupils and staff came to school dressed as what they would like to be when they grow up, from doctors and footballers to artists and scientists.

Throughout the morning, pupils took part in a range of fun, hands-on activities linked to careers and reading, making this challenge both exciting and meaningful.
