Race for Life 2024
Riversides School hosted this event down at Worcester racecourse and the challenge was to run a staggering 1- and three-quarter laps to complete 5K. All staff and pupils that completed the challenge were congratulated at the finish line and presented with an engraved medal for their efforts. We embraced the local support as it was fantastic to see the parents and general public supporting and cheering on all the participants throughout the race.
This year we were aiming to achieve £500 and with everyone’s amazing efforts with fundraising we managed raise a total of £800!
The total has been donated to a local Cancer Research shop in Worcester High Street. Each year Riversides thrives off raising money for local charities and this in particular is one of the most influential because they all embrace running and raising money for such a great cause.
