“I had the pleasure of spending three months at Riversides School as part of my PGCE placement. It was an incredible experience from which I learnt a lot. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by the entire staff, who consistently go above and beyond to meet the needs of every student. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn from the fantastic staff and observe the amazing progress the students made. All that I learned in Riversides has greatly helped me throughout my final placement and will continue to guide my teaching after I qualify. “I just wanted to say this whole week, unexpectedly, I had the best time ever compared to any other work experience. I loved every child and bonded with every staff member. I loved everything about the school, and I was wondering if you were up to allowing me to come for voluntary work experience in future as this school gave me a different view on teaching. I loved everything. Primary classes were so entertaining. Thank you for the week and time and I appreciate all the kindness and support I had.”

Hope you had a lovely half-term break.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for having me for placement. I throughly enjoyed my experience and felt very welcomed and supported. Riversides is a fantastic school and no matter whether the children are in Year 3 or Year 9 they are all individually supported – which was lovely to see! ☺️
I’ve been granted permission via Uni to complete a short course from Sept – December which means I will be able volunteer once a week/even more depending on Timetable. I’ve decided from January I’ll be completing my PGCE at Worcester (part-time) which will take 18months.
Would I be able to volunteer from September through to December before I start my PGCE instead of the rest of this summer term if possible? 😊”
