We are pleased to share an exciting summer work experience opportunity from Safari Academy at West Midlands Safari Park for students aged 14–16.
Are you interested in animals, conservation, and environmental careers? This summer, Safari Academy at West Midlands Safari Park is offering an exciting work experience opportunity for students aged 14–16.
These immersive work experience days provide a fantastic chance to gain practical skills, develop confidence, and explore potential career pathways within the wildlife and environmental sectors.
What will students do?
Participants will spend the day working alongside experienced staff and will have the opportunity to:
- Help clean animal habitats and surrounding areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the animals.
- Assist with maintaining the park environment for both animals and visitors.
- Take part in gardening and outdoor maintenance tasks.
- Develop customer service skills by interacting with guests.
- Improve communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting.
This hands-on outdoor experience is ideal for students looking to build resilience, responsibility, and valuable workplace skills.
