World Cup Art Project
During this year’s Art Project we have taken inspiration from some of the different countries who took part in last year World Cup.
Each class was given a different country. They all went away and found out about that country and either a style of Art or an inspirational artist.
Primary 1 had the Netherlands and took inspiration from Van Gogh and Delf pottery.
Primary 2 were inspired by tribal art from Ghana.
Primary 3 have been inspired by the bright colours from Costa Rica.
Year 7 took their inspiration from the artist Paul Klee and Switzerland.
Year 8 looked at many different artists from the USA and have been so inspired they are now extending their project and creating a mural in their classroom showing their interpretation of the artist’s work.
Year 9a have been influenced by the mask making of Brazil.
Year 9b were inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai.
Year 10 were inspired by mask making from South Korea.
Year 11 took their inspiration from Denmark.
