Black History Month

Riversides School has been marking October being Black History Month” with a number of activities across the past few weeks. All the classes have researching people from Black History, had discussions about the issues of racism in today’s society, and watched films such as Hidden Figures to expand knowledge of the culture. We also held a Black History Month competition where pupils created posters based on their research into figures from Black History. There were many fabulous entries with three entries standing out as the winning ones. Please click on this story to see images of the three winning entries.
