Primary Reading Challenge
This half terms Primary Reading Challenge was based on books from another culture. The pupils were mesmerised by Mrs Glover reading Emmanuel’s Dream: The True Story of Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah. We listened to African music (some of us even danced!), looked at a globe and found Ghana and then found the town Emmanel grew up in, comparing that to the capital city, Accra. The primary classes then completed different work (lots of cross-curricular links) and had some more fun including face and body painting.
