Remembering The Fallen
Riversides School got creative and used art as a way a way to rememember the fallen this Armistice Day
The students have made poppies out of recycling plastic bottles, many that have been found whilst litter picking.
Ed Fenner, Assistant Head said: “obviously reycling is a key part of any community now. We saw online that plastic bottles could be converted into poppies and thought it was a great idea for the whole school to activlyy be involved in recycling and to turn the plastic bottles into poppies to remember the fallen.”
The poppies, which also use recycled buttons, have been placed by the students on the school grounds.
The students also explored creating silhouttes of soilders and mixed media poppies in their art lessons.
