Year 10 – Art – Spring 2
In Spring 2, year 10 looked to answer the question: Why is water so important?
The students first began by thinking about why water is important and recording this in their sketch books. We then looked at how water enhances our lives and explored and evaluated a Water Aid campaign that was designed by artist Victoria Villasana. The students then were given cameras to record ways that water enhances our lives around the school.
The students then looked at work by mixed media artist Melissa Zexter and compared her style to Villasana’s, before having time to experiment with stitching themselves.
Finally, the students designed their own photography and stitch campaign photograph before having the opportunity to execute it.
