Visit From The Poet With A Punch
We were extremely lucky to welcome Matt ‘Man’ Windle, The Poet with a Punch to Riversides this week for a series of poetry workshops across school. Matt visited each class to perform some of his poems and talk about his journey to becoming both a Commonwealth Boxer and Poet Laureate. He shared his life experiences including his time at a PRU, and how he become the first male Young Poet Laureate. Matt did some exciting and inspiring exercises with the pupils to get their creative juices flowing. We are hoping the visit has provided the students with the confidence and enthusiasm to produce some poetry of their own and find the courage to submit this to the Worcestershire Young Poet Laureate Competition 2025.
